A bunch of organic Red Russian garlic I bought at the local produce store.  Very excited to see if it all works out in the spring/summer!  To plant - pull apart the cloves (gently) and then stick them in the dirt pointy end up!
All my garlic in the dirt!  After this I covered them up and I'm now patiently waiting until the harvest in June.

It should be noted that I did this in the fall (late November) right after I pulled out all the debris from the   squash.  I also added quite a lot of extra nutrients to the soil as garlic needs loads of nutrients to grow.

Seed Saver's Exchange has a great post on growing garlic that I followed very closely.
