Somehow it's time to start thinking about cold weather crops.
My seed order for my fall garden has come in! You'll notice one of these things is not like the other - tomato seeds are not exactly a fall garden commodity, but Seed Savers Exchange always gives a bonus packet of seeds when you place an order (at least they have done for me). That will come in handy in a few months when I need to start thinking about starting my tomato seeds.
Here's to great expectations for a successful fall garden and cold weather crops! If we have a winter like last year's we'll be able to grow things all the way through to next spring! I know you're all reveling in the sunshine and heat that has been this West Coast summer, but for my garden it's officially time to start thinking about what grows well in the cold weather.
